According to Alexa Internet MySpace is currently the sixth of the world's most popular website in English language and the sixth most popular site in any language, and the third most popular site in the 'United States despite it has topped the table On several weeks. The service has gained more popularity of similar sites to reach nearly 80% of visits to sites of social networks on-line.

The MySpace service was founded in August 2003 as a new initiative to 100% ownership of the Internet division of publicly traded companies company eUniverse (later than mid-2004 changed its name to Intermix). EUniverse created and marketed the website Myspace, that the division with a complete infrastructure finance, human resources, technical expertise, bandwidth and server capacity right of the door so that the team does not get distracted with MySpace the typical start-up problems.
